With their daughters by their side, Kylie Melbourne and Leigh Shields became husband and wife during a beautiful ceremony in the grounds of Wahring’s picturesque Noorilim Estate. Celebrating with family and friends, the couple opted for a relaxed reception filled with vivid flowers and gorgeous greenery.
Setting her sights on finding the perfect dress to walk down the aisle, it was ultimately online store Lover the Label that had a dress that took Kylie’s breath away. Although she admits it was a bit of a gamble ordering a dress online, Kylie said she completely fell in love with the intricate lace detail and flowing train.
No rain on this parade
When it began pouring with rain on the morning of their wedding, it was a frantic rush to come up with an alternative to Kylie and Leigh’s outdoor nuptials. However, much to the couple’s delight, the skies cleared just in time for the bride to walk down the aisle and exchange vows in Noorilim Estate’s gardens.
Having grown up in Seymour, Kylie said she had long been in love with Noorilim Estate. When it came to looking for a venue, it ultimately found its way to the top of her and Leigh’s wish list. “I absolutely loved it,” she said. “We just wanted something different.”
With her five-year-old and three-year-old daughters Macey and Hallie by her side, Kylie said it was an extra special day for her to walk down the aisle. “Just being there was amazing and they really loved it,” she said. “They kept calling it their ‘special princess’ day.”
