After a decade together, high school sweethearts Alison Roest and Jaydan Thewma tied the knot in a relaxed and intimate ceremony.
Surrounded by luscious greens and romantic purples, they put their own stamp on the stunning venue in Euroa.
Dressed to the nines in his favourite colour, purple, groom Jaydan made a statement on his big day. A month out from the wedding it was still unclear what he and his groomsmen would wear, until he came across the bold blazer and matching bow ties, adding a unique twist to traditional wedding attire.
They say two is better than one, and glowing bride Alison certainly agreed when it came to choosing her wedding dress for the day.
Favouring an elegant and form-fitted strapless dress for her ceremony, she let her hair down during the reception, dancing the night away in a full-bodied skirt and bodysuit she bought two weeks out from the big day.
When it came to bringing together the reception, a relaxed and low-key wedding was at the heart of the happy couple’s approach to the day.
Favouring an intimate reception where guests could mix and mingle, Alison and Jaydan decided to forgo the traditional sit-down dinner in favour of food trucks and festivities.
From pizza to ice-cream, guests were treated to a smorgasbord of delectable delights during the cocktail reception.
New lease on life
With their caterer in need of a food truck for the big day, Alison and Jaydan came up with a creative solution that added a touch of sentimentality by fixing up a family caravan for the event.
“It had been in Jaydan’s family for years, they used to go camping in it when they were little kids,” Alison said. “It had just been sitting in the paddock so it was amazing to do that up.”
