So you're considering submitting your wedding to bride and groom but you have a few questions? Before shooting us an email read through this list of frequently asked questions.
How do I apply to have my wedding in Bride and groom magazine?
Download this form and follow the instructions.
How recent does my wedding need to be?
We like to receive weddings within 12 months.
I don’t know if my wedding is good enough to submit?
It doesn’t matter if your wedding was classic, rustic or modern, if you hired a stylist or it was DIY affair. bride and groom features a range of weddings – from budget backyard barbecues and intimate elopements to extravagant nuptials.
I can’t type in the submission form document, what do I do?
Feel free to put your answers in a word document or email (this way you’ll have even more space to tell us about all the details) and send it in.
The form asks to list a videographer, stylist, wedding planner etc, but I didn’t have one, what do I do?
Move on to the next question! We want to give everyone a chance to credit all the suppliers that made their special day possible but if it doesn’t apply to you, leave it black.
How many photos do I need to submit?
Real wedding submissions should consist of a selection of 50 – 100 hi-res JPEG professional wedding photos supplied via an online file sharing platform (our preference is Dropbox) or on USB delivered to the Shepparton News at 7940 Goulburn Valley Hwy, Shepparton.
What photos should I submit?
We want to see the whole day, from getting ready and the ceremony to wedding portraits and the reception. Submitting 50 photos of the bridal couple is no use to us, but nor is only one. Please give us all the details – the cake, styling, the rings. We won’t use every photo but to design a strong real wedding feature we need the whole story.
How do I use Dropbox?
This website can help you set up a free account and upload your photos: https://www.dropbox.com/guide/business/set-up/save-your-work-in-dropbox
While this one will help you share the folder to us: https://www.dropbox.com/help/files-folders/share-with-others
How big to the photos need to be?
To ensure the photos print well they need to be hi-res, at least 2 MB should do the trick.
I’ve missed the deadline, is it too late to submit?
If you’re missed the deadline for our next edition, don’t stress. Put together your submission and send it through when you ready for consideration in the following edition.
When will I find out if my wedding will be published in the magazine?
bride and groom will email all applicants a few weeks before the magazine is released to let them know if their wedding will be in the magazine or on the website.
