They may have only been teenagers when they met, but for Shannen Coe and Daniel Hill there were never any doubts. After seven years together the pair said ‘I do’ in a classic winery wedding with a modern twist.
Befitting the young couple, Shannen and Daniel invited their guests to mingle and dance the night away at a relaxed cocktail reception. Serving up a range of platters and canapés the newlyweds mixed it up when it came to the sweet treats. Their simple yet elegant cake was the centerpiece of the dessert table featuring cupcakes, cake pops, tarts and personalised cookies.
Creating a fun vibe was key when it came to planning their special day. With a little bit of Pinterest inspiration, Shannen created a Polaroid photo guestbook and thongs station, where guests could pick up a pair of dancing shoes. “We didn’t want people to get sore feet and we wanted people to kick off their shoes and have fun,” she said.
For Shannen and Daniel, one of their most treasured memories of their wedding day was sneaking away mid-reception to spend a moment together by the river. “We walked away for 15 minutes to take everything in and spoke about how much of an amazing time we were having,” she said.
