Christine Turvey-Lowden and Kyle Watson’s romance began in high school. After some years apart Christine and Kyle, who had remained good friends, reconnected and became engaged before cementing their love in a simple, yet stylish, ceremony in Moama.
Christine and Kyle’s plan for a laidback, rustic-themed wedding day was achieved by incorporating natural elements to complement the red gum backdrop on the banks of the Murray River at Moama. A pizza van provided a delicious pizza buffet meal and vintage van served refreshments, adding to the simplistic perfection of the day.
The couple was happy to share the limelight on the special day, by assisting with a surprise marriage proposal during the reception. “As I was about to throw my bouquet to all the ladies I made an announcement that my sister couldn’t participate, as I pointed behind her and her partner was on his knee with a ring. It was a truly magical moment,” Christine said.
An avid car enthusiast, Kyle dedicated the months leading up to the wedding restoring two Holden VL Commodores to transport the bridal party on the big day. In total four cars, with traditional white wedding ribbon, were in the procession.
