Glorious late-spring weather and background music from a grand piano helped Courtney Fahey and Paul Larkin create their dream relaxed, garden wedding.
The couple chose the wedding date because it was the same Saturday the bride’s parents were married on 43 years earlier.
Peony roses are a perennial bridal favourite and the gorgeous flower was central to Courtney’s styling.
The wedding stationery, bouquet, flowergirls’ headpieces, chair decorations at the service and table centrepieces at the reception all featured the on-trend bloom.
The couple’s individuality was reflected in the quirky choice of wedding cake and bonbonnieres.
A chocolate mud cake topped with mint ganache was decorated with a tuxedo and a white chocolate mud cake with citrus ganache was finished with a delicate lace pattern.
The chocolate apple wedding favours, from the Chocolate Apple Factory in Shepparton East, mirrored the cakes and were fun keepsakes for the guests.
Courtney and Paul wanted to include their family pets in their special day and set aside time for photos with their suitably-attired furry friends.
Fostered greyhound Ollie and dachshund Ruby wore tulle and floral neckpieces while dachshund Ralphy sported a black bowtie.
