Four years ago Aimee Willis and Chevvy Anderson ventured to the movies on their first date, and in November they declared their love for each other surrounded by mementoes of their favourite films.
A Disney delight
After bonding over their mutual love for Disney films it was no surprise Aimee and Chevvy decided to add a touch of childhood nostalgia to their wedding day décor.
“We both are classic Disney fans,” she said.
“Our first date was going to the movies to see a Disney film.”
For Aimee the Mickey Mouse cake topper was literally the icing on the cake, while Mickey Mouse marquee lights lit up their reception space for a personal touch.
A walk to remember
Straying from tradition Aimee made her way down the aisle with both her mum Lois and dad Glen on her arm.
“I have a wonderful relationship with both of them, and wanted to share those special steps with the two people that have always been by my side,” she said.
Aimee and Chevvy always knew they would have a first look but did not realise how precious that moment together would be.
“It was absolutely perfect,” she said.
“Our photographer found this cute little bed and breakfast cottage just up the road from where we were staying with beautiful gardens, lush thick grass and a beautiful cottage in the middle of it all. It was just the two of us in this beautiful moment full of love, surrounded by our bridal party. It claimed the nerves a lot.”
Aimee said having a sweetheart table also allowed them to steal a moment alone during the reception.
