Karla Mallamaci and Steven Granger’s wedding day signified more than just the start of their future together.
With Steven travelling for work in the lead-up, it was a chance for the couple to reunite for a special day full of love, laughter and joy.
While on holiday in Port Douglas, Steven’s odd behaviour raised some question marks for Karla.
“He was acting strangely. He was always on the phone saying he was booking day trips for us,” she said.
Answers were quickly uncovered when a walk along the beach ended with Steven proposing, and the couple enjoyed a stunning candlelit dinner surrounded by rose petals at their resort, which Steven had been frantically organising.
With a day full of love and activities, there was no one moment that Karla could pinpoint as her favourite memory.
But she loved being able to share the special moment with their loved ones.
“People aren’t lying when they say the day goes quickly,” she said. “It was wonderful to just be able to relax with our guests. The day ended with everyone dancing all night, laughing and having the best time.”
In the lead-up to the wedding, Karla said she knew she wanted each of her bridesmaids to stand out in their own way, while still being tied together by the wedding’s colour scheme.
“I always wanted the girls to be wearing different dresses. I didn’t want to just pick one style,” she said.
“I wanted everyone’s styles and personalities to shine through.”
