Kirsten Oughton and Michael Croxford first met at high school, but it was not until years later that love blossomed.
After almost a decade together, the autumn tones and old world charm of Noorilim Estate set the scene for the pair’s elegant wedding with a modern twist.
Kirsten and Michael’s stunning lakeside ceremony overlooked the tranquil botanic gardens and stately architecture of Noorilim Estate and was complete with a red carpet and rose petals.
“I found it on the Bride and Groom website and we went to have a look and as soon as we drove through the big white gates we knew it was for us,” Kirsten said.
“It’s amazing. We loved being able to share its beauty with our family and friends.”
Complementing the lavish surrounds, the newlyweds opted for a bold colour pallet of blue for the bridal party.
Mixing modern style and classic elegance, the bridesmaids wore striking lilac lace dresses while the groomsmen looked dapper in navy tuxedos.
One of the most memorable moments for the couple was having sons Nixon, 3, and Mason, 1, play the role of page boys, walking down the aisle with Kirsten’s mum Joanne.
“They were so cute and it was so special to share the day with them,” Kirsten said. “We can’t wait for them to look back in years to come of them actually being there on their mum and dad’s wedding day.”
