A lush vineyard wedding

By Bride and Groom 16 March 2018

A sense of calm was felt by Carly Hooper as she walked down the rose-petal-lined aisle towards the love of her life, Adam Bostancioglu.

Their elegant and laid-back wedding was celebrated among the lush surrounds of a vineyard in March.

A snorkeling surprise

A day spent kayaking and snorkeling in Surfers Paradise was made even more special when Adam proposed.

After placing the ring around a hermit crab he pulled the critter out of the water declaring, “look what I found”.

Carly said she was completely blown away.

“It was amazing and very unexpected,” she said.

“The tour guide filmed the proposal and I was a blubbering mess.”

Dirty Dancing

Inspired by the 1980s film Dirty Dancing, the newlyweds performed their first dance to (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.

“Adam really wanted to do it – he had his heart set on it,” Carly said.

“It was a wonderful surprise for all of our guests and we had fun learning it,” she said.

Bride's advice

Carly said hiring a professional MC was a great idea.

“It makes the day run smoothly and ensures that you have nothing to worry about it,” she said.

“It was fantastic and removed a lot of stress from the day.”
