After a chance meeting Melissa and Josh’s love blossomed, and four years later the couple said “I do”.
The ceremony was inspired by the rich and deep hues of autumn, with a romantic and rustic flair.
On the day, Melissa’s and Josh’s grandmothers, Lorraine and Grace, came together to deliver a special message to the couple - reading a blessing they wrote for the occasion.
This lovely moment also came with a gesture from Grace, who gifted Melissa with a handmade handkerchief from 1922 that women had been carrying for generations.
On the eve of Melissa’s favourite holiday, Josh popped the question.
His Christmas Eve proposal ensured the day would be special for the rest of their lives, and made for an exciting Christmas period with family and friends.
“It was a full-blown, but very happy and a wonderful surprise,” Melissa said.
While waiting to see his bride at the altar, Josh made sure that she knew he was thinking of her with a handwritten gesture.
“Josh wrote me beautiful love notes to read through the day, which was so special,” Melissa said.
