Married by the Murray

By Bride and Groom 16 February 2018

The natural beauty of the Murray River created a breathtaking backdrop for Alanna Harris and Michael Amadei’s March wedding.

After 12 years together, the couple tied the knot in a celebration of friends and family.

A family affair

At two-and-a-half years old, the couple’s daughter Ruby was the perfect flower girl.

Alanna said the best day of her life was made even more magical with their daughter by her side.

“To see the excitement on her face and in the lead-up she was telling everyone all about it and calling it her wedding too made it very special.”

Personal vows

The newlyweds’ relaxed vows not only set the scene for the celebration to come but epitomised their relationship.

Full of jokes and laughter from guests, Alanna said it was the most memorable part of the day.

“We laughed throughout them and it took the nerves away,” she said.

On the river

Spending all their summers by the river, Alanna and Michael instantly fell in love with Morrisons Winery and Restaurant.

“As soon as we went to look at venues and we saw that the backdrop could be the river we knew that was where the ceremony would be,” Alanna said.

“To have that, it made it so us.”
