A year in review: photography

By Bride and Groom 22 December 2017

As we take a walk down memory lane, Bride and Groom journalists Alana and Jessica recall the standout photographs from the Goulburn Valley’s 2017 weddings.

Alana’s favourite photographs

Weddings are made up of thousands of tiny moments, but it takes a special photo to capture the love felt on the day.

From the new bride and groom holding each other tight during their first dance, the couple enjoying a laugh during a family tradition, or the unparalleled joy on the face of children who have seen their parents exchange vows, these photos capture the essence of love.

Although each wedding is unique, each couple have followed their own path, and each family have witnessed a different love story unfold, these magic photographs have captured beautiful moments from a special day, leaving me with a smile on my face.

A picture is worth 1000 words, and a candid photograph captures a real moment in time.

From the raw emotion of the ceremony to the pure joy on a the newlyweds’ faces as they take their first walk as husband and wife, these mementos will stand the test of time, even if the memories fade.

The Goulburn Valley is lucky to not only be home to talented photographers who can immortalise these precious occasions but also breath-taking locations from mountain ranges to historic buildings for the picture perfect backdrop.

It’s the shots that make you feel as if you are a part of a big day that give me the warm and fuzzies.
