After meeting in High School and falling in love a number of years later, Melinda De Palma and Joshua Davidson tied the knot. They celebrate their wedding day surrounded by friends, family and love.
For a father who isn’t normally emotional, Melinda said seeing him with a tear in his eye was a touching moment. “It was so beautiful, I even started to get emotional.” Her extended family and husband also teared up as she made her way down the aisle. “It was such a beautiful moment that I will remember forever.”
After celebrating four years together with a romantic dinner, Josh suggested the couple take a stroll along the lake, which set off alarm bells for Melinda. “I did not suspect a thing until he wanted to go for a walk,” she said. Josh popped the question on the edge of the lake, with a tear in his eye. “I was so surprised and was not expecting it at all, which made it so special to me,” Melinda said.
From the bride’s stunning Baccini and Hill wedding dress, to the beautifully styled decor, Melinda and Josh’s wedding was a sea of white elegance. White drapes, chandeliers, mirrors, candles and flowers were used to dress the reception and achieve a crisp, elegant style inspired by various Instagram pages.
Modern and traditional
The bride and groom wanted a modern wedding, while representing Melinda’s Italian heritage. Dancing was key to this, with both traditional dances and a very modern element included. “Josh and I had our family and bridal party wrap us up in streamers at the end of our first dance,” Melinda said.
